Who can apply?
The programme is open to candidates from all over the world
with no age limit.
eligibility requirements vary from programme to programme. Please check the
websites of the Joint Doctorate(s) you are interested in for further
information. There are however some minimum requirements that are common to
most Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates:
This means that you do not have to be enrolled in a specific
European university to apply for a Joint
Doctorate. Even if you are no longer a student and you finished your master’s
studies 30 years ago… you can still apply!
- A completed
Master or equivalent higher education degree (300 ECTS).
You can also apply if you expect to obtain your master’s degree at the
latest by August of the starting year of the Joint Doctorate. If
qualified, you will receive a conditional acceptance by the Joint
knowledge of the English Language (accepted language certificates usually
are: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge exam).
