Where can I go ?
Being a student in an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree implies living and studying in at least two different EU countries
This means exciting opportunities for
travel, diverse cultural and linguistic experiences, different academic approaches
and great networking opportunities, all in the context of a high-level study
Each Joint Master
programme is offered by a diverse consortium of European universities and
sometimes includes non-European universities.
- Choose a
programme of interest from the list of Erasmus Mundus
Joint Master Degrees.
- From the
universities that offer your selected programme, you will be able to
determine a study path and pick the institutions at which you would like
to study, depending on the specific rules of the programme.
- you cannot first choose the countries/institutions where you would like to
study and then the programme. You only choose among the countries/institutions
offering that specific programme;
- you will have to study in at least two EU countries, with each period corresponding to at least 20 ECTS for a 60 ECTS programme, and 30 ECTS for a 120 ECTS programme. Should a university in your home country be part
of the programme of your choice, you can still study there during part of the
programme, but you will not be entitled to an EU scholarship for the period
spent in your home country.
Examples Ex 1:
European Master in Tourism Management. This programme
is run by a consortium of 3 universities based in Denmark, Slovenia and Spain
as well as an associate partner in China. The first semester takes place in
Denmark, the second in Slovenia, and the third in Spain. In the fourth semester
you have the option of studying in China, or returning to one of the other European universities.
Ex 2: Crossways in Cultural Narratives. This
programme is run by a consortium of 8 universities and 2 associate non-European universities.
Students study in three different universities, staying in the same university during the 2nd and 3rd semester. There is no fixed study path, meaning you can decide which countries/institutions
to study in within the 10 offering this Master, depending on the area
expertise of each of the universities, the courses offered, and your
